![]() The crisp OLED displays and LED-illuminated controls will help you see it all in the dark, too!Ĥ independent sequencers, controlling whatever synth, module, or drum machine you want.ġ6 patterns per track. ![]() Multi-mode arpeggiator, randomness, easy chord mode, and real-time recording for creating on the fly. KeyStep Pro makes gigging easy and fun, with instant and intuitive access to inspiring performance features. Our sequencers can be seen all over the world, and are loved by top artists, studios, and amateur producers alike. Otherwise I’d go with the launchpad pro mk3 over the SQ64.Take full control of your modular rigs, outboard synths, and software studio all at the same time However, if you know how to play keys then I think the keystep pro is the obvious choice as long as you don’t need multiple drum tracks. I personally don’t know how to properly play keys and after trying out midi keyboards I found pad style controllers with scale features to better suit me. I think it’s hard to compare the keystep pro and SQ64 because they offer different styles of control with one being pad style and the other being a keyboard. ![]() Not sure if that’s the same with the keystep pro but might be worth looking into. I had a BSP and sold it for the LP because I found that you had to connect it to a computer to edit a lot of parameters which defeated the purpose IMO since I was using it with other hardware. The 4 sequencer tracks on the LP can be chromatic, drum or scaled whereas with the sq64 and keystep pro you are locked into one drum track and 3 melodic tracks. The reason I went with it over the SQ64 is the overall layout and intuitiveness after watching reviews of both. I have the LP and find it to be very flexible. Both are polyphonic and pad style controllers. I think a better comparison to the SQ64 is the launchpad pro mk3.
